ommonly known as Tonalin, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is an important omega-6 fatty acid which can be found in grass-fed beef and many full-fat dairy products. As a supplement, it is used by many people to improve weight loss results and overall body composition. There are a number of studies which have been done to suggest that CLA can help with weight loss.
How CLA 1,000mg Helps with Weight Loss
According to a report published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, CLA helps improve weight loss by activating an enzyme known as palmitoyltransferase which is responsible for the transportation of fat into your cells where it will then be used for energy. Research has indicated the CLA may also be helpful in reducing the risk of breast cancer because of the way it interacts with the estrogen hormone which plays a role in breast cancer cell division. Another study that can be found in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that CLA can also be helpful in fighting against colorectal cancer, although additional research needs to be done to determine how this works.
